Death of a Fire Mage

I had nearly everything done from last year except that I didn’t Pity the Fool (because I didn’t PVP) and I didn’t get a Peddlefoot in the MANY MANY random drop tries that I got. Since they reworked it, I was able to get the whole thing done on the second day due to pure laziness.

Do I like how they reworked this holiday? YES. Anything to eliminate the random crap is great.

Do I like the ‘holiday boss’? No. What the crap. First of all, it’s not a holiday. Never has been and never will be. It’s a hallmark holiday. The only ‘holidays’ that I recognize are the ones that we get days off for. Once you start giving working people free days for the sake of love, I’ll be all over this.

Second, for the first time since hallowe’en and since patch 3.3 dropped, I had to find a group in TRADE CHAT. The group fell apart after 2 wipes and 1 kill. It wasn’t all that good. The tank was rude, the healer relied on addons and the dk dps… well, he was a dk dps. It was like brewfest or hallow’s end all over again with people not knowing what was going on and being jerks to each other. I’ll be lucky to get the mount or pet as I will not be doing this without people I know or have guilded with for the rest of the holiday.

On a much better note, if you want to check out a good player, check out what the guild leader has occassionally to say. He runs it very well with a smart looting point system and little drama that I’ve seen. People still look my way and not recognize me, but that’s because I’m either not on or I just don’t talk to them. They do encourage just to come on Vent(rillo) to keep social, but there’s something about that which is just odd for me, so I keep to myself. Which is fine. The next year and a half of school is supposed to be WoW reduction time and not join the best raiding guild time like I did, so I’ll just be glad that they haven’t kicked me for being useless just yet.
