What’s new in the new year so far? Well, I’m having the achievements stack up a bit from the Dungeon Finder tool.
I’ve got to apollogize to a few of the groups I’ve been in. You have to understand that I don’t really know any dungeon aside from possibly Trial of Champions (Or is it Crusader? Whatever the heck it’s called.) Utgarde and the Nexus with a touch of Drak’Tharon. I never really bothered getting a group together to explore these things so I have no freaking idea what’s going on. Yes, my dps could be much better, but that would involve knowing the fights or doing more than trying to keep up as the tank and healer streak off into the dungeon. Especially in the new dungeons.
I’d like to apollogize to the group in Pit of Saron last night. Yes, we finished it and I got a nice staff which upgraded my gear ever so nicely. I appreciate that you were fair about the loot. I did step too closely to the big skeletel monstrosity and got myself killed though, so that’s where I went wrong.
I think one of the things that I don’t like about the dungeon finder is that we assume a lot about the party when we get in. Either that or they have an asshat addon that tells you if your party is good or not which is just as bad. Good playing can make up for equipment quite a bit of the time (if you’re not a tank trying to do heroics in greens) and that’s just not something you can figure out when you’re at the start of the quarry and your group is at the first boss already. Nor can you figure it out when you don’t know what the heck to target 90% of the time.
From thenceforth I’ll be assisting the other dps because I have no idea how the tank gets the threat/aggro that he needs which makes this method of targetting as useful as hitting tab.
