Our Intrepid Heroes
[1:] Who/what are your mains?
Carnus, always. Fire mage forever. I’m leaning to actually spec my offspec next year, though. Frost sounds appealing.

[2:] Which alts were your favorite this year?
I leveled the crap out of Duwall, so I guess he’s good. I’m too worried to actually play a DK tank to use him, though.

[3:] How many characters did you get to 60? 70? 80?
3-80s now, Thayla (rogue) is 69, so soon I’ll have another one to give me frostcloth.

[4:] What character are you most proud of and why?
I think I’m proud that I actually still play and enjoy Carnus the most. After all this time when I’m not waiting in a queue, I actually have fun with him.

Around Azeroth
[5:] What was your biggest/most memorable achievement(s) this year? What was the most painful?
Sunwell and Halloween were two of the best. Sunwell because it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in game. Hallow’s End because it was a random drop which I’d do again, I tells ya. Children’s week was the most painful because I had never pvp’d before.

[6:] What has been the most fun raid/pve fight so far in WotLK?
Sunwell with the guild, hands down. It still had challenge and strategy (a bit) but the lore was almost edible.

[7:] What was your favorite quest/questchain?
I kinda liked that I did the questchain to kill Onyxia before she got all buffed.

[8:] A lot of powerful lore has been introduced in this expansion. Any favorite bits?
I like that the Banshee Queen will get her revenge. Well, hopefully.

[9:] The rise of the Lich King has changed Azeroth and its people so much. Who’s your favorite NPC(s) in this expansion?
Thrall and Saurfang are awesome.

[10:] Which in-game holiday was the most fun this year?
I liked… I dunno. I have distain for anything that forces me to get acheivements by doing things I don’t want to do.

Friends and Enemies
[11:] Did you change guilds this year? If so why?
I had an overreaction and quit a good guild to join up with an equally good guild.

[12:] What was your guild’s biggest/proudest accomplishment this year?
They’re leaps and bounds above what I could hope for.

[13:] Did you make a lot of new friends? Any mortal enemies?
Maybe a friend or two but no one that I kept in touch with. There’s a night elf druid that I kept killing in Orgrammar that I’m certain doesn’t like me still if they saw me again.

[14:] Any fun or memorable PVP encounters?
When I killed people with my damage shield. And I killed a DK in Eye of the Storm the other week. He really was horrible.

Looking Ahead
[15:] What changes are you most excited for in Cataclysm?
I’m hoping for a looking for raid enhancement for the dungeon system.

[16:] Which new race/class combos are you going to roll? Got any names yet?
I’m going to delete the Orc Warrior that I never play. I need a hunter and a warrior still to finish my one of everything.

[17:] Where do you see your character in the next few months?
On Ice. School starts up again on Monday.

The last… how long has it been since the patch? 2-3 weeks? So, for the last 2-3 weeks, you can’t turn your head on the boards that I read without hitting a rant about the new lfg system.

Lots of rants.

You know what? I like it better than the old lfg system. For that alone, I haven’t had an actual rant about it.

Have I had people quit after a roll? Yes. Have I had people be jerks to one another? Yes. Have I had an afk tank which ‘angered’ the other arcane mage into pulling half the dungeon because he was ‘bored of waiting’ and then he just quit anyway? Yes. Have I enjoyed it? Somewhat.

It’s a bunch better than the old one if only because I can form a group of two and join.

I’m still waiting like I do for a bg which means this is still not the funnest game in the world.

But I do get to do stuff. And stuff is cool.
