Death of a Fire Mage

Petition: Cisko-Altar of Storms reported me afk in Arathi Basin even though I was not. I recieved the deserter debuff and did not get the Mark of Honor. How do I prevent this in the future and is there anything I can do about this right now aside from waste 15 minutes for this debuff to wear off?

Answer: When enough reports are registered, a 60 second debuff will begin to count down. To remove this, the player must enter PvP combat.

This happened in the last 10 seconds of the battleground. There should be a machanic that doesn’t allow other players to screw over other players like this, excuse my language. I didn’t even see the debuff occur on my screen till I left the battleground. I see this as an exploit that should be fixed.

I wasn’t a fan of pvp before and this ability to mess over other people makes it even less appealing. This incident and the ability to recreate it should be more than enough reason to rethink many of the world achievements where pvp is involved.

I encourage you to try this at home until the problem can be fixed.

Arathi sounds like a swear when you say it with the right inflection.

Today, I went into Arathi basin and got slaughtered. Near the end of the match, I res’d at the Blacksmith and ran over to see what the other people were doing. One had a romantic picnic basket going. The other two were playing with a train set. A second later I see: “REPORT CARNUS AFK” spammed in bg chat. The fight ends a second later and I don’t get a mark or the honor.

One of the reasons that I don’t like to pvp and what kept me away from it for so long is that it attracts the worse bunch of people. The people that are over competative and will stab their own brother in the back to get ahead. I understand that this is player versus player, but usually the other person in that title is on the other team.

So, thanks, jerkwad. Thanks for losing, thanks for doing nothing and thanks for being a dick about it. Please transfer to the alliance as soon as possible.
