plate

Been playing my pally a bit. Be fair, when BC came oot you either made a pally or a wowsham – as opposed to a shamwow, that is. And yes, alliance shaman are wowshams as opposed to shammy/ies just like how horde paladins are pallys/ies and not… uh… taken seriously. Also, if we’re going to admit things, everyone and their dog has a death knight and they’re all in battlegrounds. And even the dogs are killing me.

Getting back to what I was thinking before I distracted myself, playing a pally was neat because it was the exact opposite of my mage. Strong, lots of armour, slow as hell to do anything but never died. My mage is pretty weak, near to no armour, fast as lightning when it comes to killing and I routinely die alot. It’s a habit I never really broke oot of. I’m actually a little proud that I got a level 80 pally that’s spec’d holy – the slowest leveling spec ever. Tag that with my grandmaster blacksmithing title and you had a very infuriating character back in the day. Still, it was fun to get a different perspective and I learned that healing isn’t all that bad.

Skip to yesterday. We get invited to Kara to farm it for a 70 guildy who is awesome. Quite frankly there are some people in the game who are just plain awesome, so you do stuff with or for them because you like their attitude/demeanor/hair colour/etc. For whatever reason, they’re just cool. If he would have got new armour from me swan diving off of Thunderbluff, I would have considered it.

He’s 70 and there’s no point to anyone doing Kara anymore, so obviously he’s never done it. I’m getting lost in some of the twists and turns because it’s been over a year and I’m mostly enjoying the music when I’m not blowing things up. We have 7 people – 5 80s and 2 70s. The other 70 is a pally who is constantly bitching that there’s no dps gear for him. Then when someone accidently rolled on an int necklace he spent the rest of the time complaining aboot them not knkowing how to play the game.

Maybe it’s just the fact that I have like 2k armour period, but I don’t think any plate user should be considered as dps. If you think aboot the logistics of it for a second, you’re going to put on the heaviest thing in the game and then swing your arms really fast ? How does that even make sense ? And pallies can supposedly out dps me ?

*grumble cakes*

Do me a favour, retardins. First, get a new name, cuz I’ll never want to call it anything but what I just did-ish. Second, just shut up and do your job. Third, don’t ask me for anything because I have this viseral hate for you. For me, a pally healer can be amazing and doing things like UP or ZA without a pally tank is possibly just silly. A pally dps ? Well, I guess it’s a good leveling spec, but I have no use for you. Maybe I’m only lemonade (bitter) because I had to listen to his bitching so very much when I’m trying to dps the same in 2k armour.

Kinda like if you could actually pick your team for bg, I’d not get picked. Even with a little impact here and there, I’m really only a good distraction.

On a housekeeping note, if the character doesn’t show in the sidebar, it’s because either the armoury is down or I took a slight vacation. If you could just imagine the word ‘awesome’, it’s pretty much the same but a little wordier. = )

equipment

Last night wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. We failed the OS25 run with drakes up. It wasn’t meant to be a jab at anyone, but the overall excuse for failure was low dps.

Now, I know I’m not putting oot a crapload because I don’t have amazing equipment. But I play what I do well, so I don’t mind it so much.

One thing I was looking up for equipment was what weapon I could get to improve and stumbled across the arena equipment. Holy crap. Seriously ? Wow. Again, it’s like the 2nd best in the game.

Now, I have no doubt that it’s difficult to get a 2350 Arena rating. After looking at the how to get arena points explanation, it seems dang near impossible. Well, for me. I die alot normally. I’m at best a good distraction in battlegrounds. In the arena… Well, do I really want to spend 100g to boost up someone else’s ranking ?

Why aren’t crafted items this good ? What’s the point of slaving away for 2 expansions making bags for everyone under the sun if it never pays off ? Grumble cakes…

On a plus note, I didn’t die from the fire walls. We’re still kinda learning the fight, so we had some new, some pugs, and some blue there trying to coral us into doing what we needed to survive. At the end of it, with the camera at max range, I was one of the last to die. I count that as an accomplishment.

I play a Fire Mage in World of Warcraft. There doesn’t seem to be many of us around, or at least the ones that do don't write aboot it. It’s all Frost pvp or Arcane this or that which just blows my mind. Seriously. My spec isn't somethng I’d recommend to anyone else in the world. It’s not what you’d call good or efficient. I’m a casual gamer. I stick to the 15$/month form of the cheapest entertainment I can get. Also, I like gin.
