Yesterday was the first time my tank was kicked from a dungeon. It was because of low gear score.
If they were rude about it, I might have been upset. Since it’s related to gear score, I couldn’t care less.
The healer stopped for mana after every fight and retaliated when someone said he took too long with the excuse that he had to keep the tank up. Stopping here for a second, the healer had 32k mana. He went down to 20k mana nearly every fight. No, they weren’t clean fights, but no one actually attacked what I attacked.
The dps who complained said, ‘no wonder with a 3.9gs’ which prompted the kick.
Funny thing is: if people would have followed my lead instead of trying to faceroll/zap everything that moves/etc like we’re a kingslayer group, then we would have been done the first boss by then.
But yes, gear score.
Addons like that make me long for the days when cc was valued… or used, even. Then your gear really didn’t matter if you didn’t have a good person on the frost trap/poly. Gear score be damned, player skill is where it was at.
Cross fingers for Cat. Just don’t hold your breath.

It seems that I’m going for achievements now. As a casual player, I don’t actually have dedicated group where I go for raids, so the majority of the achievements listed have been through the lfd tool.
There’s rules to this type of behavior, though.
- Do not beg. It’s degrading to you and I.
- If at first you don’t succeed, we probably do it the easy way.
- If you ask for something special then criticize the dps/tank/healer, the rest of the group will rethink.
- If there’s a glitch (I’m looking at you, Hadronox) we should do it. Easier is better.
- If you’re not the tank and you run ahead all willy nilly messing up said glitch or what have you, then this also may mess stuff up.
The facerolling of Northrend dungeons makes these achievements very possible through lfd because of the simple fact that more than half the players in WoW are Kingslayers now and have the equipment to match it. None of the want to wait around for anything, so the constant speed dungeons and interupts are making a world where things like Less-Rabi is nearly a guarentee and Abuse the Ooze are far less likely.
Recently, I found a group of people who want to do a random a night. By group, I mean RL friends. They know how to twist my arm. The last couple, like Ooze, are because of them.
Maybe before Cataclysm comes in we’ll have all the special achievements done. It’s something to hope for.
