Look, I hate the Alliance as much as the next undead, but your Blizzcon closing ceremonies went way too far.
This is supposed to be a family friendly game TO THE POINT where you’re not supposed to publically berrate people or face temporary bans. I capitalized to the point since I know some of your developers may disagree since you somewhat recently added our new warchief exclaiming that our much loved banshee queen was a derogatory female dog.
In your game you allow us to use a swear filter to protect ourselves from the rudeness of other players – not NPCs, mind you. What happens when it’s in real life and it’s sanctioned by you? I understand that you thought it was supposed to be funny but making light of people’s sexual orientation, etc, due to what banner they wear or what philosophy they have is just dumb.
I have a hard enough time defending the fact that I play this video game to other adults. The last thing I needed was proof that the mentality behind it was low-grade, bottom feeding, vulgar and juvenille.
What I need from you is an apology. What I need from you isn’t a shift in blame but a responsible action. It’s time to treat your own like you would treat your players: Hand out a ban and make it a good one that reflects the outrage this event has caused.
And what I really need from you is a reason why I should keep playing this after the new Star Wars game comes out.
Because if I have to compare Star Wars against the repetitive music of Eastern Plaguelands as I wonder what to do next in a stupor of mixed boredom/fishing/archeology, then you’re going to lose this fight.
Please respond asap. Thank you for your time.
