Introduction
WILL YOU TUNE IN FOR MORE ?
I hope so.
The first project, “True Lies of Our Hometown”, originated as a joke between Geoff and Sarah Rusak during a visit to Winnipeg. Sarah was able to brilliantly improv 30 second quick vignettes in regards to famous landmarks. Many years later, Geoff remembered how funny this idea was and started to film the concept.
The actors were given a vague description of what was required, had a camera pointed at them and I shouted ‘GO’. Meaning the majority of these were completely improvisational compositions.
True Lies is a mock tourism video. A Thunder Bay Vignette that just goes wrong. A silly look at things that don’t make sense aboot a city. If it was a DVD, on the cover would read ‘A Mock News Story That Tells Lies Aboot A Small Town’. Or maybe something smoother, catchier, worded properly.
True Lies was shot entirely with borrowed equipment consisting of a wonderful microphone borrowed from a church, Nexxtech and unknown brand audio adapters and a sony handycam. It is not known to this day whether the handycam still has any legible serial numbers.

Shouldn’t it be “aren’t” rather than “isn’t” in the opening text? ;)
(Yes, yes, I’m a nitpicker.)
